Founded in 1143 in Schleswig-Holstein (Germany) on the Baltic Sea, Lübeck was an important city of the Hanseatic League, medieval trade organization. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring over 1,000 historic structures, it is a great place to visit. Laetitia took a group there to enjoy the history, culture, and food, including some exceptionally fine marzipan.
Once a part of the League Hanseatic
Lübeck’s scenery is quite dramatic
And if great marzipan
Is part of your plan
You’ll have reason to be ecstatic.
