Day 858: Knappogue Redux

Based on a request from Mind’s eye limerick tours, wherever that is, Laetitia returned to Knappogue Castle in County Clare, Ireland, with a tour group.  They enjoyed Irish music and dancing at the Castle’s Medieval Dinner and topped off the evening drinking Knappogue Castle Whiskey at a pub.  There was a round of toasts, each ending with “Sláinte,” the Gaelic word for “health.” Then there was a limerick-composing contest.  Laetitia posted the winning entries to Mind’s Eye Limerick Tours.

Knappogue Castle’s known for its ceili
With its dancing and music played gaily
And its whiskey preferred
When “Sláinte’s“ the word
In the land of shamrock and shillelagh.
